Pakistan is a young country. More than 60% of its population is under 30 years old. But many of these young people do not have jobs after finishing school or university. This is called youth unemployment.

There are many reasons for this:

• Not enough job opportunities
• Degrees without skills
• Lack of experience
• Old system of education
• No career guidance

Even educated students with Master’s degrees struggle to find jobs.

💡 The Rise of Startup Culture

But now, a new trend is rising — Startup Culture. A startup is a small business that starts with a new idea, usually using technology or digital tools.

Many Pakistani youths are now saying:
“If I can’t find a job, I will create one!”

They are building startups in:

• Online services (like graphic design, freelancing, teaching)
• E-commerce (selling products on Daraz, Instagram, or websites)
• Food delivery
• Mobile apps and software
• Digital marketing and content creation

💪 Why Startups are Good for Youth

1. Self-Employment
   Youth can earn for themselves and others by starting their own business.
2. Freedom and Creativity
   They can try new ideas and work on their own terms.
3. New Job Creation
   Startups help create jobs for friends and community.
4. Use of Skills
   Students can use their IT, communication, or design skills in real life.
5. Digital Income
   Many startups earn in foreign currencies through online platforms.

📱 Real Life Examples

• A student in Lahore started a digital marketing agency from his home. Now, he hires 5 more people.
• A girl in Peshawar started an online clothing store on Instagram. She now sells across Pakistan.
• A boy from Bannu started freelancing on Fiverr after doing a DIT course and now supports his family.

🔧 What is Needed for Success?

1. Technical & IT Skills
   Skills like web designing, social media handling, SEO, and digital marketing are in demand.
2. Government Support
   Programs like Kamyab Jawan and DigiSkills are helping with training and loans.
3. Mentorship
   Students need guidance from teachers, trainers, and professionals.

   Honesty, hard work, and smart planning are keys to business growth.
